Opening will be the Last year’s winner of Aalborg International Guitar Competition: Guy Hirschberger. Following will be the Italian master guitarist Luciano Pompilio.

Guy Hirschberger
Winner of the 6th Aalborg International Guitar Competition 2024!
Guy Hirschberger was born in 1999 in Israel. He started playing classical guitar when he was 11 years old, and at 13 he began studying with Irit Even Tov at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance.

Guy performs as a solo artist and also participates in guitar trios, quartets and ensembles conducted by Mrs. Even Tov.
Guy participates annually in the Winter Festival at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance High School, where he plays with several guitar ensembles each year. In 2015 and 2016 he participated in concerts at the Israel Museum, in March 2016 he played at the Kol Ha’Musica radio station with a guitar trio, and in February 2017 he played at the same radio station with a guitar quartet.
Guy has also participated in masterclasses with famous classical guitarists such as Laura Young, Mircea Gogoncea and Petra Poláčková. Guy is a recipient of an AICF scholarship and won the foundation’s scholarship in 2014 and its excellence scholarship in 2016.
Since 2013, Guy has competed in national and international classical guitar competitions.

2013 – 2nd prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to 14 years.
2015 – 1st prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to 16 years.
2016 – 4th prize in the international L.Luthier Youth Competition in Bratislava, Slovakia.
2016 – 2nd prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to 20 years.
2017 – 1st prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to 20 years.
2024 – 1st prize in the Aalborg International Guitar Competition, up to 35 years.
2013 – 2nd prize in the Arian Yerushalmi National Competition, up to 14 years.

Luciano Pompilio
He graduated in classical guitar in 1990 at the “U. Giordano” of Foggia, with full marks. At the same time, he studied musicology at the University of Literature and Philosophy of Bologna, earning the D.A.M.S.
After important solo experiences and with various formations, he joined in duo with Giuseppe Caputo winning, in this formation, 25 competitions with 15 absolute first prizes, among which the Montelimar competition (France) stands out. He has collaborated with the string quartet “Prima Vista Quartet” from Warsaw and “Rimsky Korsakov Quartet” from St. Petersburg. He has played for major musical institutions throughout Europe, America and Asia.
In his visit to Paraguay, July 2018, he received from the Congreso Nacional del Paraguay, Direcìon de Cultura, the “Republic Prize” one of the most prestigious civil awards in Latin America as a lover and diffuser of the works of Augustin Barrios Mangorè in the world and it was considered among the best interpreters of the music of the legendary composer.
He is artistic director of the “Città di Manfredonia” International Guitar Festival and of the “In concert” international concert season in San Giovanni Rotondo.
He was a guest of the Anton Stadler Association on the occasion of the “Colori & Note” e “I Tramonti di Porto Flavia”.
